DeVilla and Sekhmet Dance Co. Sizzling Summer News

Summer’s in full swing and here’s just a little update of what’s going on with DeVilla and Sekhmet Dance Company.

June brought us to Cairo Shimmyquake. We performed in the Friday night “Mystique” show produced by Princess Farhana. The show was amazing and sold out. Here’s our feature in the LA Weekly:

Next stop was Karin Jensen’s “An Evening of Middle Eastern Dance” show, where I appeared in a solo, Kamala Almanzar’s “Ballet Orientale”, and with Sekhmet Dance Company in “Lioness.” Located at the Marsee Auditorium at El Camino College in Torrance, CA. The lineup of dancers was incredible and it was a spectacular event!

Next up, Fahtiem’s Oasis Dance Magic 2019!

Show begins 7:00 pm Sunday night 8/11. Tickets and event info are available here.

Sekhmet Dance Company and I are so excited to present a brand-new piece at the Center Stage Theatre!

September brings the sad news that due to unforeseen circumstances, I will not be able to go to the amazing Raqs Tiki festival on Kauai, HI…

…because I have been nominated for a Creative Arts Emmy for my makeup work on American Horror Story! Awards ceremony taking place September 15th, 2019.

It is an honor to be nominated with such an incredibly talented make-up team.

It looks like I’ll be heading to Arizona in the fall. Stay tuned for details!

Until then, happy Summer!! The Sekhmets and I hope to see you at an upcoming event very soon.

Classes at DanceGardenLA are ongoing with performance opportunities!
